Pay Rate: $26-$32 per hour

Summary

Behavioral Health Choices is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and clinically skilled Therapist to provide high-quality behavioral health services to individuals, families, and groups. The Therapist is responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support positive client outcomes. This position serves individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance use disorders in an outpatient setting while maintaining compliance with agency policies, ethical standards, and applicable state and federal regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments and psychosocial evaluations.
  • Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans based on client needs.
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Complete clinical documentation, progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries within established timeframes.
  • Maintain a caseload while ensuring quality care and productivity expectations are met.
  • Participate in crisis intervention and safety planning as needed.
  • Coordinate care with physicians, case managers, schools, community agencies, and other treatment providers.
  • Educate clients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, coping strategies, and community resources.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and case consultations.
  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and agency policies.
  • Participate in clinical supervision, staff meetings, required trainings, and continuing education.
  • Maintain compliance with all licensing board requirements, Medicaid standards, and agency policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a closely related behavioral health field from an accredited institution. Current Ohio licensure in good standing as one of the following:
    • Licensed Social Worker (LSW)
    • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
    • Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW)
    • Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Medicaid provider credentialing.
  • Valid Ohio driver’s license, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving record.
  • Successful completion of criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
